3 Instant Ways to Treat Your Baby’s Stuffy Nose at Home

Runny nose of your child may be bothering you, but trust me, it’s a good thing. It’s actually body’s natural way of flushing the germs out. So, runny nose, should not bother you, but yes, when it’s stuffy, it must be dealt effectively and faster!

Normally we think that a stuffy nose is the result of too much mucus in the nasal passage, but actually, it is caused by inflamed blood vessels in the sinuses. The stuffy nose gives your little one stuffy head and can make it hard to eat or breathe even.

Here I am going to discuss some quick ways to treat your baby’s stuffy nose at home.

1- Remove the Sticky Stuff around the Nose: At times it’s not the congestion inside, but only the mucus dries and hardens around the baby’s nose. Cleaning this crusty or sticky mess around your baby’s nose should give a clear passage to the mucus inside to flow out. Just wet a cotton swab with warm water and gently wipe the area to clear the sticky stuff from around the nose.

2- Vaporize: When there’s congestion inside, vaporizing is the one of the best ways to open it. Since, they are small babies and cannot tolerate the vaporizing process that we do for adults, you need to keep them in steamy bathroom for 15 minutes or more. Just turn the hot water tap on and play.

You may also buy a cool-mist vaporizer or humidifier for your baby’s room to add moisture to the air. It helps clear his stuffy nose.

Vaporizing is good, but not too handy, i.e. you need enough time for the whole thing and babies do not always like that long procedures.  Moreover, this may also not be possible while traveling.

3- Buy a Good Baby Nasal Aspirator: I lately, discovered a most effective option probably. This Bubzi Nasal Aspirator for babies which clears out baby’s congested nose as quickly as in 30 seconds or less and it’s very easy to use as well. The softer silicone tip can fit well in baby’s tiny nose without any discomfort. And, the best thing about this aspirator is that it doesn’t require any batteries. Moreover, it comes with a cute, compact carrying case to keep it clean and for traveling.

You may find a lot of other home remedies and tips to treat baby’s stuffy nose, like saline water drops, Olbas oil and so on, but believe me, nothing works better than pulling that mucus out with this smart Bubzi Nasal Aspirator. The better relief your, baby gets, the best you will feel!
